At DDI, a plethora of diabetes research projects and initiatives await exploration, ranging from type 1 and 2 diabetes and their complications, such as childhood and adolescent obesity, and more. As an intern, you will receive supervision tailored to your assigned project, whilst gaining insight into our research endeavors and activities.
In addition to varying duties based on your department and sector, as a summer intern at DDI, you will gain exposure to the following:
- Knowledge Transfer: Attending seminars, lectures, and journal club meetings.
- Hands-On Experience: Learning core research principles and practicing them.
- Writing Skills: Learning how to decipher and write a research article.
- Science Communication: Understanding how to create an impact with your science.
Other Transferable Skills: Using teamwork, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, adaptability, and creativity in your day-to-day activities.

Working hours
The working hours are 7:30 am to 3:00 pm from Sunday to Thursday.
Eligibility Criteria
All applications must:
- Be a resident of Kuwait with a valid Civil ID.
- Be a student or recent graduate (< 6 months since graduation).
- Provide an updated résumé.

All interested applicants must complete the online Internship Application Form and upload all required documents prior to the deadline.
Please note: Failure to submit your résumé, academic transcript, and valid civil ID will result in automatic disqualification of your application. “Academic transcript” refers to undergraduate degree for graduate students and high school (or other) diploma for undergraduate students.
